Morrow Batteries strengthens Board of Directors with Atle Knudsen as new member

Atle Knudsen of Morrow-shareholder Å Energi joins Morrow Batteries as a new board member.

Knudsen holds the position as Executive Vice President for New Industries at Å Energi, one of Norway’s leading energy utility companies, and the largest shareholder of Morrow Batteries with 34 per cent of the shares.

He has followed the development of Morrow Batteries since Å Energi was part of the founding the company in 2020. Knudsen says he is impressed with how the company has developed, from the early conceptualisation to how Morrow is now building an industrial scale enterprise.

It is therefore critically important for us to contribute to developing businesses and creating attractive jobs along the “Battery coast”. We share Morrow’s ambition to build industries and companies that attracts interest and talents both outside Agder and beyond Norway. We are therefore particularly impressed that Morrow already has attracted more than 130 battery specialists from 25 countries – and counting”; he says.

Knudsen holds a Master’s degree in marketing from the Southern Denmark Business School and an MBA from the Norwegian School of Economics. He is the chairperson of Å Energi Invest and Entelios Nordic.

Following this appointment, the Board of Directors of Morrow consist of Liv Monica Bargem Stubholt (chair), Tor Øystein Repstad, Anders Lægreid, Pedro Valle e Azevedo, Franziska Beata Bossart Bright as well as Atle Knudsen.
